I find interesting how some people post about how white Christians need to learn from the spirituality of African Americans. Let me remind my friends of several facts:

  1. It was white Christians who built western civilization. They formed most of the creeds, cathedrals, and confessions that we use today.
  2. It was white Christians who translated the Bible for centuries before most of North Africa started returning to Christianity.
  3. It was white Americans who started the modern missions movement.
  4. Conversely, African Americans are more likely to be ignorant of Scripture than European Americans are. Likewise, many of them have allowed their church to be silent on issues concerning both abortion and fornication (sins that run rapid in their communities.)
  5. Finally, it was European Christians who converted the majority of African Americans to Christianity. If anything, blacks should be learning about Christian theology from whites.
